In this position you will join a team of experienced network switching design engineers developing and supporting the most advanced technology in the enterprise network chip industry. In this highly visible role, you will be a key chip design engineer in the Ethernet Switching organization.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design and verification of an Ethernet packet pipeline which performs deep packet inspection, processing and statistics, packet modification, at 10Gbps and 40Gbps rates, including link layer security protocols.
- Design and implement link layer security protocols based on IEEE802.1AE
- Design and implement AES-GCM algorithm in hardware at 1Gbps/10Gbps/40Gbps rates
You will work within a IP center of excellence group. This elite group will be the focal center in providing this new technology to the company. You will ensure design is fully verified, closed timing, and well-documented and work with multiple groups in the company for its productization at Broadcom.
Job Requirements : BSEE required/MSEE preferred with a minimum of 6 years of experience in networking ASIC design and verification.
You should have working knowledge in the following areas:
- Verilog; VERA or SystemVerilog a plus
- Ethernet, IEEE 802.1, IEEE 802.3
- Knowledge of AES a definite plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Well organized, methodical, and detail oriented
- Team player and easy to work with
